We bridge the gap between hospital employment and private practice with a balanced alternative. Our roles separate clinical responsibilities from business pressures, letting you thrive in a patient-first environment with collaborative, consistent teams fully embedded in the hospital ecosystem.
It’s more than a job. It’s a sustainable career path that honors your training, time, and well-being. At Synergy, we help physicians live their best lives: professionally fulfilled and personally grounded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there clinical work involved?
Yes. Our model is centered on active clinical practice. Surgeons are fully engaged in providing patient care, including surgical procedures, inpatient care, and on-call responsibilities. This hands-on clinical work is at the core of our Surgicalist Model, ensuring continuity, quality outcomes, and alignment with hospital goals.
Do you also provide locums opportunities?
No, our focus is on Surgicalist Models, not traditional locums. We provide dedicated, facility-based surgical teams who offer consistent, year-round coverage. This model ensures better continuity of care, stronger alignment with hospital protocols, and deeper collaboration with medical staff—far beyond what locums can provide.
What does a typical day look like working with a surgicalist team?
Every contract is different. Generally, a schedule will define a set number of shift days per month. For example, a surgicalist might work 7-10 days a month. A shift equals 24 hours. Schedules are routine, making it easy for providers to plan work requirements.
Do Surgicalists pay for state licensure?
Synergy Health Partners covers up to $500 of the costs associated with the initial state licensure. All additional state licenses obtained by clinicians are fully paid for by Synergy.
